Thread Reinforcement Low strength material such as aluminium, fibre-reinforced plastics (FRP), iron castings and magnesium alloys have poor threading properties and the threads created in these materials tend to wear out quickly. This problem can be rectified by thread reinforcement which is typically performed using threaded inserts. Threaded inserts not only provide a strong thread in materials with difficult machining characteristics, but they also reduce the amount of material required by being able to use screws and bolts of smaller diameters and shorter lengths. This is made possible by the high thread resilience of BaerCoil thread inserts which save material usage by up to 10-30%. This results in a reduction of weight and space which is often crucial in aerospace and automobile industries. The saving of material also minimises the total cost of production. Free running thread inserts are ideal for thread repair and thread reinforcement

Wire Thread Inserts Baercoil

Price: 50.00 - 500.00 INR/Piece

These are wire thread inserts from BAER, Germany, made from austenitic chromium nickel steel (stainless steel AISI 304) with a material tensile strength of at least 1400 N/mm². The wire is swaged in cold form during production to a rhombic cross section ensuring performance and maximum space utilisation. With BaerCoil thread inserts you achieve a better thread connection in regard to wear resistance, thread abrasion, surface finish, corrosion- and heat resistance than with any other single screw connection. BaerCoil inserts can give material savings of up to 30%, resulting in reduced space, weight and costs. BaerCoil is typically used for thread repair and thread reinforcement.
